Macao Canada Economic and Trade Association (MCETA) Facilitates China-Canada Economic and Trade Relations

A delegation led by Ms. Carmen K.L. Lei , Founding President of the Macao Canada Economic and Trade Association (MCETA), visited the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto on the 2nd of this month. They were received by Consul General Luo Weidong and Commercial Counsellor Liu Linlin, among others . The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening China-Canada economic and trade cooperation, particularly on enhancing exchanges between Macao and Canada across various fields . Both parties viewed the meeting as a step that further consolidates the friendly non-governmental relations between China and Canada and lays a more solid foundation for future cooperation .

 

Consul General Luo Weidong commended the Association for its long-term contributions to promoting China-Canada economic and trade exchanges and serving overseas Chinese communities . He emphasized that the Consulate General would continue to support overseas Chinese businesspeople and community organizations in playing a bridging role, deepening China-Canada friendly cooperation, and contributing to shared development.

 

Carmen K.L. Lei thanked the officials of the Consulate General for their concern and support for the Association's work. She stated that the Association would continue to actively promote exchanges and cooperation between Macao and Canada in trade, investment, culture, and other fields, contributing to the healthy and stable development of China-Canada relations.
