Macao and Canada Economic and Trade Association Successfully Organizes Canada Exhibition Area at the 30th MIF, Deepening Macao-Canada Commercial Ties
The Macao and Canada Economic and Trade Association (MCETA) successfully organized 35 enterprises from Canada and Macao to participate in the 30th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) from October 22nd to 25th of 2025 under the "Canada Exhibition Area". This marks the eleventh consecutive year the Association has led a delegation to the MIF, highlighting its sustained commitment as a vital commercial bridge between Macao and Canada.

Six Major Chambers Join Forces, Showcasing Cross-Border Collaboration Strength
The Canada Exhibition Area featured a strong lineup, uniting the efforts of six business associations, including the Canada El Salvador Chamber of Commerce, Xinflex Entrepreneurs Association, CMBG and the Macao Canada Chamber of Commerce, among others. Exhibiting companies spanned diverse sectors such as technology, energy, health, finance, and logistics, comprehensively showcasing the innovative vitality and cooperative potential of Canadian industries.










Focus on Four Key Industries, Precisely Targeting GBA Opportunities
Aligning with the MIF's theme of "Inviting Global Investment, Gathering Business in Macao", the Pavilion focused on promoting four key industries: "High-Tech, Big Health, Modern Finance, and Culture & Sports". It presented cutting-edge corporate achievements and industry trends, aiming to connect international resources and achieve complementary advantages with the markets of Macao and the Greater Bay Area.
Signing Ceremony and Opening Ribbon-Cutting, Writing a New Chapter of Cooperation
At noon on the first day of the exhibition, the Canada Exhibition Area held its opening ribbon-cutting ceremony. Officiating guests included: Guo Xiaohui, Director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; Chan Kai Meng, Senior Manager of the Exhibition and Event Promotion Department of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute; Legislative Assembly members of the Macao SAR, Song Biqi and Leong Hong Sai; Wu Zaiquan, President of the Macao Real Estate Joint Association; Lorne Schmidt, Vice President of the Macao Canada Chamber of Commerce; representatives from the Xinflex Entrepreneurs Association, Zheng Jilai and Zeng Qingshan; as well as MCETA’s Founding President Carmen Lei, Honorary President He Hanpei, Honorary President Zhou Yixin, and President Henry Chan among others. The atmosphere was lively.

During the exhibition, Carmen Lei, representing the Macao Canada Economic and Trade Promotion Association (Canada), and Zheng Jilai, representing the Canadian Xinflex Entrepreneurs Association, jointly signed a Letter of Intent for Cooperation. This signifies both parties' commitment to deeper international collaboration in areas such as trade and culture.
The Canada Exhibition Area attracted a large number of domestic and international visitors for exchanges and successfully facilitated several business matching sessions, yielding fruitful results and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Additionally, the Macao and Canada Economic and Trade Association also hosted a "Canadian Entrepreneurs Networking Dinner" on the evening of October 22nd at the Treasure Island Banquet Hall. Attendees freely discussed entrepreneurial experiences and shared business insights. The event featured a vibrant atmosphere for exchange and rich content, further deepening the friendship and consensus for cooperation between the business communities of Canada and Macao.
